Review- Your Tea, Liver Detox

Your Tea was very generous and sent me a package of a 22 days Liver Detox program which also includes a super cute tea tumbler. The liver is a vital organ in our body that detoxifies and metabolizes things that we take in, whether it's food or medicines, the liver does a lot of the workload. This 14 day Liver Detox Program aims to maximize your digestion, improve your bowel movement, heightened your well being, give your a clearer mind and clearer skin, among other benefits. There are 3 different teas for the liver (morning, afternoon, and night) and one probiotic tea. You would drink the morning tea before breakfast when you first wake up, then the afternoon tea a bit before lunch and the night tea before you go to sleep. As for the probiotic tea, after you have finished your liver tea, you would drink 1 packet of probiotic tea before bed. Lastly, while you are on this regimen, you have to eat extremely healthy; the guide that came along this this packet suggest that you go on a vegan diet. You must cut out all processed foods and anything high in sugar. At the same time, it would be beneficial if you also keep an active lifestyle.

No pain no gain right? This liver detox program actually requires a lot of me. I lead a very busy life so there was no way I could do half the things that they ask me to do, which included eating an all vegan diet (it's too expensive in NYC! LOL) there are days when I work 12 hours a day and I would not have the time to prepare any type of foods, not to mention going for a run. Life was tough but I tried to eat as healthy as possible while I was on this program.

As for the taste of the tea, I've drank plenty of tea in the past; I'm actually a tea addict but I could not find myself to like the morning and afternoon tea. The only tea that really agreed with me was the night tea, which was basically chamomile. I also did not add any sugar, milk or honey to these teas, just plain old hot water.

In conclusion, after I finished the program, I did notice my skin got a little clearer from before (but I am also using acne medications on the side) and I did feel a little more energized when I wake up in the morning. The chamomile tea also helped me to fall asleep and stay asleep as well. Overall, I believe if you can truly stick to this program to a T, then you should definitely give it a shot!
